Sandakan Trip - Sungai Kinabatangan

Last month, saya telah ditugaskan ke mesyuarat di Sandakan Sabah, about kawalan terhadap pencemaran di Sg. Kinabatangan. My first impression was,.... must be a beautiful clean river. But instead, Sg. Kinabatangan is worst than Sg. Kelang. haha...surprise. Tapi, the biodiversiti is still mantain in certain area, terutamanya sekitar Ox Bow lake. It was mentioned that there are 20 Ox Bow lake there. Oppss...wondering what is Ox Bow lake? well.. ox bow lake is a part of river that are cut out from its main river, and become a lake. It happends naturally, secara semulajadi, apabila aliran sungai yang berliku, macam ular, bersambung antara liku likunya, menyebabkan ia terputus.

Inilah rupanya sg kinabatangan. Mcm ayak teh susu.....

The meeting was held in Swiss Inn waterfront Sandakan. Nice hotel, and quite cheap. But room servis tak berapa bagus. I was there for three nights, ..alone. Actually, have to be there for three nights since there are no flights from sandakan to KL( or KK at least), at night.

since pergi sorang, selama dua malam makan KFC hehe,.... sebab KFC la yg plg dekat dan plg convincing to eat di sana. Bandar sandakan pun not bad. Manage to bought some pearls, brooch, and fresh udang as well... (which need so much effort! urgh...).

Kesimpulannya.... nice trip!.. where next???
